Description:
In a talk presented by the Watts History and Culture of the Book Program of the JCB, Willa Silverman of Penn State will discuss "The End of Books? French Fin-de-siecle Imaginings of the Future of Print." Her visit to the JCB is co-sponsored by the Providence Athenaeum and the John Russell Bartlett Society as part of a 2-part series on "Octave Uzanne: Bohemian Gentleman, Bibliophilosophe." The event is free and open to the public and will offer some light refreshments. MacMillan Reading Room of the John Carter Brown Library, 6pm.
