The Program in Educational Faculty Development at Alpert Medical School recognizes and supports our faculty and residents in their role as educators. We strive to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to teach in the classroom and at the bedside.The Core Series in Medical Education consists of presentations on common topics within medical education designed specifically for medicaleducators. Sessions are open to all faculty, residents and community preceptors.
Program Description: Applications on our devices enhance and organize everyday activities. As a result, there is a great interest in the development and use of medical apps. In this program we will identify the needs for apps while also learning how to create one. Examples of previously created medical applications and their uses will be discussed, as well as obstacles faced when creating the applications and funding secured by the Physician to create it. Attendees should bring a device (phone or tablet) to the workshop.
