PSTC Colloquium: Effect of Increased Provider Payments for Provision of Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception: Evidence from South Carolina’s Medicaid Policy Change (Maria Steenland, Postdoctoral Fellow Population Studies, Brown Univ)

The Colloquium Series at the Population Studies and Training Center will host Maria Steenland, Postdoctoral Fellow in Population Studies at Brown University. Her talk is titled “Effect of Increased Provider Payments for Provision of Immediate Postpartum Long-Acting Reversible Contraception: Evidence from South Carolina’s Medicaid Policy Change” and will examine the effect of South Carolina Medicaid’s 2012 policy change to begin providing reimbursement for immediate postpartum long-acting reversible contraception (LARCs) separate from the global labor and delivery payment.
