Events@Brown features a diverse collection of content from across the University community. Brown faculty, staff and recognized student organizations can add or submit University-related events to Events@Brown.
The method for adding an event depends on whether it belongs to an existing departmental calendar group or needs to go through the general submission form for moderation.
Events@Brown is the University’s event calendar system designed to publish and promote Brown events. All members of the Brown community can use it to browse through departmental calendars and find events of interest.
Events@Brown features a diverse collection of content from across the University community. The platform showcases both official University events—such as Convocation and Family Weekend—and events submitted by schools, departments, divisions, and recognized student organizations.
Most departments and campus units have their own Events@Brown calendar groups allowing them to post events one time and rely on tailored event feeds to appear in multiple places including websites, mobile apps and digital signage.
The events published in Today@Brown are a subset of all of the events in Events@Brown. Using a “Submit this event to Today@Brown” checkbox, calendar owners can designate their events to appear in Today@Brown, with a further option to designate second and third publication dates in Today@Brown.
The functionality for displaying events on an official Brown website is made possible through integration with Drupal Cloud, delivering a user-focused and accessible design for event displays.
